The Founding Story
Bacati was born from one dad's frustration. Deepak's newborn son suffered skin irritation from his crib bedding — and when Deepak started digging into the fabrics used across the baby bedding industry, he was troubled by what he found.
"Deepak wasn't a bedding designer. He was an engineer. He set out to solve the problem — high-quality, all-natural, washable baby bedding he could feel good about putting against his son's skin, and all at a great value."
What started for one family became a commitment to designing for all the world's families. Every detail — sourcing, design, manufacturing, shipping — stays within the family-run business, with a critical eye on the product's impact on families and our planet.
Most products are manufactured in India with exceptionally fine workmanship. We use 100% cotton percale and 100% cotton muslin fabrics — the best available in the market, designed by our experienced team, built to last.
1998 — The Beginning
